Weight of the World.

“The weight of the sky dropped onto Atlas’s back, almost smashing him flat until he managed to get to his knees, struggling to get out from under the crushing weight of the sky. But it was too late. “Noooooo!” He bellowed so hard it shook the mountain.  “Not again!” Atlas was trapped under his old burden.”  What are you holding on to? What’s that burden slowing you down? There’s always going to be burdens in the world but this much I can tell you; don’t hold on to the weight of the world!!! Featuring @jazzyogaga and @ogagus.

Manar: A Ray of Hope

Do you believe in luck? Or would you say coincidence? Or Serendipity? Whatever you choose to call it, meeting Manar was a miracle. When I made a decision to go document AFCON in Egypt for Pan-African Sports, I had a list of interesting things to do, places to visit and connections to make but I arrive in Cairo with a plan to just “Wing It”. Amongst my list to do was make amazing portraits/lifestyle photos while in Egypt. The plan was destined to fail as no one was really willing to help me bring my vision to life until I …

Pyramids of Egypt: My Experience Through Pictures

I’ve been in Egypt for a bit now documenting the Africa Cup of Nations AFCON Egypt 2019 for Pan-African Sports Agency. It’s been really hectic but yesterday, I decided to go out and explore after all, It would be a shame if I came all the way to Egypt and I do not see one of the wonders of this world. I’ll love to tell you about my experience, location, transportation, getting into the pyramids, getting around, experience with the locals, expectations and interaction with other tourists, but for now, enjoy my experience vicariously through these photos:

Rainbow chasers

Rainbow Chasers

It’s been a week of constant rainfall in Lagos! This can be really frustrating as you know once its pours in Lagos traffic grinds to a halt. We ventured out in the rain yesterday to see how Lagosians are fairing amidst the constant rainfall. We have some intersting tales.

Revealed Speaker – August Udoh

August Udoh one of the speakers at Revealed Workshops is a prolific story teller whose style of portraiture stands out in this world! In his words, I’m an amateur photographer, I like to call myself that because it makes it easy for me to wanna learn everyday and to be creative. You have to continually become a beginner, I’m more of a portraitist I find the human face interesting and my belief is finally in the end there is nothing but the face and the truth is the power of the landscape of the face, the valleys and the promontories …

Creative Shootout by Lex Ash and Emmanuel Oyeleke

A creative shootout by two top photographers based in Nigeria Lex Ash and Emmanuel Oyeleke with a model Sylvia of Beth Models Africa. Styled and Made-up by the Photographers. Photographers had three minutes each for both indoor and outdoor shots. It is fun and educative. Lex and I discussed the idea of doing a collaboration long before now however, we seem to get stuck so many time sin the planning stage. 24 hours before this happened, I placed a call to Lex and asked if he was free the next day, we didn’t plan anything, the rest is history.

A Red Edit

Looking at these photographs of Beverly while doing post-production on them, I started pondering over the individuality of humanity, the sheer randomness of our stories and experience and how it affects us as. I looked at these photographs and decide this was a use-case of skill and creativity. I tried to convince myself that I could apply same skill and creativity to achieve similar results in a different situation but alas, each creation is unique. There are no formulas for the emotions nor exact patterns for the juxtaposition of light reflections and refractions, most importantly, we cannot turn back the …

KEY TO FREEDOM (A Reminder)

For our resolve was forged in silence, fire, grit, mire and cruelty, we look inward for hope and strength. We stare death in the eye with each passing breath, but our struggle did not start today and we are not about to give up. Forget the lies and schisms of these politrickcians (prove me wrong), out with the old and in with the older and clueless, they promise heaven and earth but end up in cycle of blame-games. God willing, we hold the key to our destinies, Key to freedom and we are not about to give it up. This …
