Creative Shootout by Lex Ash and Emmanuel Oyeleke

A creative shootout by two top photographers based in Nigeria Lex Ash and Emmanuel Oyeleke with a model Sylvia of Beth Models Africa. Styled and Made-up by the Photographers. Photographers had three minutes each for both indoor and outdoor shots. It is fun and educative. Lex and I discussed the idea of doing a collaboration long before now however, we seem to get stuck so many time sin the planning stage. 24 hours before this happened, I placed a call to Lex and asked if he was free the next day, we didn’t plan anything, the rest is history.

A Red Edit

Looking at these photographs of Beverly while doing post-production on them, I started pondering over the individuality of humanity, the sheer randomness of our stories and experience and how it affects us as. I looked at these photographs and decide this was a use-case of skill and creativity. I tried to convince myself that I could apply same skill and creativity to achieve similar results in a different situation but alas, each creation is unique. There are no formulas for the emotions nor exact patterns for the juxtaposition of light reflections and refractions, most importantly, we cannot turn back the …

KEY TO FREEDOM (A Reminder)

For our resolve was forged in silence, fire, grit, mire and cruelty, we look inward for hope and strength. We stare death in the eye with each passing breath, but our struggle did not start today and we are not about to give up. Forget the lies and schisms of these politrickcians (prove me wrong), out with the old and in with the older and clueless, they promise heaven and earth but end up in cycle of blame-games. God willing, we hold the key to our destinies, Key to freedom and we are not about to give it up. This …

International Friendly: Nigeria vs Zimbabwe

We are super excited to be part of something bigger than us! An evolving phenomenon, Pan African Sports Agency. A photography agency passionate about documenting African sports on a global scale. Our vision is to curate African sports pictures from Africa to the World. The aim is to create the largest  archives of sporting pictures all over Africa. We had the opportunity to document the international friendly football match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Warriors of Zimbabwe. It was a super tedious feat because of the heavy downpour but we braved the rain and created some stunning …

ART x CHAIR OWN IT!

Àdùnní (meaning ‘daughter of the sweet one’ in  Yoruba), is a celebration of African Modernism and to compliment the outlook and celebrate this Art piece. Our cultural excellence aligned with the works of the multi-talented, miss Kedike @chidinmaekile who was our muse for the shoot. This piece of Art is proudly Nigerian hence why the chair’s frame is made from Nigerian teak wood and is upholstered in two styles of the indigenous Yoruba textile Asò-oké. The front bears Asò-oké Gboro-gidi (solid) and behind Asò-oké Onja-wú ati iho (perforated), both hand-loomed in Nigeria. The Àdùnní Chair from #Ilé-Ila available is in …
